It all began with our first trip to China - that's when we fell in love with Asian art.
We were wide eyed and wowed by the depth of this ancient culture and its expression through
a wide variety of art forms and domestic crafts. As that love turned into passion, we became
enthusiastic collectors. As our collection began to overwhelm our home, we began selling some
pieces to make room for others. Through this process, we found many other enthusiastic collectors,
and eventually Ancient East was born.
We now travel extensively to China, Japan and Europe seeking the finest in Asian art & antiques,
hand selecting each piece with a collector's eye. It helps satisfy our collecting passion to
assemble an outstanding selection for those who also share a love of Asian art. We have placed
many pieces into fine private collections and work with designers, individuals and other dealers.
We are proud to offer an exceptional variety - from the more humble domestic arts & crafts to the
most exquisite, investment quality Asian art and antiquities. Each piece is thoughtfully selected
for its material, craftsmanship, design and condition. Our years of considerable study, experience

We do not have a shop as we don't wish to operate a business per se. Its more about indulging our
passion - the appreciation and pursuit of an ancient culture's artistic expression and the excitement
of it's acquisition. Because of our low overhead, we think you will find our prices to be more than
fair. Our collection is offered here on-line as well as at some of the finest antique shows on the
