DESCRIPTION: This brass warmer, the perfect size for warming hands, would have been filled with coals and used in winter. The bulbous body held the hot coals while the heat flowed through the well crafted, pierced lid which features a bird among prunus branches. The sturdy brass handle allowed the warmer to be carried from room to room. In very good condition, it dates from the late Qing Dynasty (1880 – 1910) and has been in the same collection since purchased in Hong Kong in the mid 1970's. DIMENSIONS: 4 ¾” wide (12 cm) x 3 ¼” high (8.2 cm) to top of lid; 4 ¾” high (12 cm) with handle upright.   Price: $275   Stock #LVBB3
