| A tall and quite dramatic Japanese ikebana basket crafted of a reddish bamboo, the inner layer woven in a tight herringbone pattern and the outer layer composed of wide vertical bamboo strips added for vertical strength. These wide strips have been split at the tops and woven back down into the basket in projecting V-shaped patterns. Three twisting yellow bamboo twigs form the handle. This fine basket is from a Georgia collection and is in excellent condition; Meiji Period. DIMENSIONS: 24” tall (61 cm) x 7” wide (17.8 cm). Price: $1,095
