DESCRIPTION: An elegant Chinese baluster porcelain vase of a nice large size, profusely decorated in polychrome enamels in a famille rose pallet. The design features a pair of green peacocks perched in a flowering prunus tree surrounded by large peonies. On the reverse is a lovely garden scene with two beautiful maidens standing in front of a bamboo fence, supervising three young boys at play. On the neck are two decorative handles in the form of vining tendrils. This vase dates from the mid 19th century and has minor but appropriate wear for a piece this old with one small chip to one handle. Nicely priced for such a large, genuinely old vase. DIMENSIONS: 24” high (61 cm) x 10” diameter (25.5 cm).<div id='rater_target532860'></div>
