DESCRIPTION: A quality ivory netsuke of Jurojin, one of the seven Japanese gods of good fortune. Jurojin is the deity of happiness, prosperity and longevity. Here we see him with his kindly face and long white beard, wearing his scholar’s cap and flowing robe, accompanied by a horned stag which is his messenger. In his hands he carries a scroll containing the secret of longevity. Beautifully carved -- even the base shows incredible detail in the stag’s folded legs. On the base can also be seen a faded collector's inventory number. Artist signed, this netsuke dates from the Meiji Period and is in excellent condition with a nice, creamy patina. DIMENSIONS: 1 ˝” wide x 1 3/8” high.   Price: Sold and Shipped to South Carolina, Thanks   Stock #SN21
