DESCRIPTION: An exquisite blue/grey & white textile hand woven with raw silk. This textile originates from Laos and was worn as part of the traditional costume of Laotian women. The design is executed in diagonal white silk squares with geometric designs, intersected with horizontal blue/grey stripes of varying widths on each end, and finished with a knotted silk fringe. This textile would have originally been worn as a skirt wrap, and would be gorgeous and fashionable serving that same function today. It would also make a beautiful wall hanging, or can be used as a shawl gathered around the shoulders. This Pha Baeng is 30 to 40 years old and is in excellent condition. DIMENSIONS: Larger than most at 34” wide x 70” long.<div id='rater_target331058'></div>
