DESCRIPTION:  A well carved Japanese ivory okimono of a seated, three-clawed oni with arms outstretched and lacquered gold bracelets on each wrist and ankle.  His eyes are double inlaid with abalone shell and when turned over we see his lacquered, tiger-striped loin cloth.  Very appealing and dating from the Meji Period, 19th C.  DIMENSIONS:   2" high (5 cm) x 2 1/4" wide (5.8 cm).  <div id='rater_target1239565'></div>
