| DESCRIPTION: Two Ming Dynasty shallow dishes, late 1500’s, with underglazed blue designs and a bluish tint to the white overglaze. The dish on the left has a garden scene with two young boys on the front and floral designs on the back with unglazed center. The dish on the right is painted with a lion dog on the front and floral designs on the back with glazed center. These were purchased by the collector in Thailand in the mid 1960’s; collector’s stickers are on the backs. Both in very good condition with minor frits/chips to the back foot rims. DIMENSIONS: Each approximately 5 ½” diameter (14 cm) x 1 ¼” high (3.1 cm). | |||||||||||||||
