Three Antique Chinese Lacquer Pillows
DESCRIPTION: Three attractive Chinese headrests or pillows, made with split bamboo frames and multiple layers of lacquer, designed with slightly concave sides to cradle the head comfortably. One is solid red with black ends and the others are black lacquer with green ends, featuring charming scenes of a frog jumping onto a lily pad and a large flower with butterfly. Dating from the early 20th C., these have been handed down in the same Asian family for three generations and are in very good condition with only minor scuffs. DIMENSIONS: Each is approximately 8 ¼” long (21 cm) x 5” wide (12.8 cm) x 3 ½” deep (9 cm).
