DESCRIPTION:  A Chinese ivory carving of two lovely maidens, one holding a musical instrument protected in a cloth bag, the other leaning on a rock wall with a bird ornament in her hair.  Very good condition, no repairs or losses. The age is seen from the darker back side which has had less light exposure; dating from latter Qing Dynasty, 1890 - 1910.  DIMENSIONS: 8” high including rectangular stand; 6 ¾” high without stand.  Stand is 5” long (12.7 cm). <div id='rater_target1119547'></div>
