DESCRIPTION: A very fine and deeply carved Chinese export ivory card case, 19th C. The unusually thick, domed and pierced lid is expertly carved with a three dimensional profusion of flowers surrounding a center cartouche featuring a Chinese garden scene. On close inspection, you marvel at the delicately carved ivory leaves and tiny flower petals, all placed above a carved diaper-patterned ground.

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese bamboo figure, well carved as a recumbent lion with a hollow pierced ball held between its front paws and a pup clambering down from its back. The gifted carver gave this lion a broad toothy grin, giant eyes, and tight curls on its mane and tail. An appealing sculpture in excellent condition, it dates from the early 1900’s, late Qing Dynasty. DIMENSIONS: 5 ˝” long (14 cm) x 3 ˝” high (9 cm).

DESCRIPTION: A rare Chinese toggle in the form of a miniature Mongolian eating set or trousse, consisting of a reddish gold lacquered metal sheath finished with brass bands and bone cap, containing two removable and useable knives with horn handles and bone caps, a set of tweezers, and a suspension loop on the side. Overall fine condition with minor signs of age, rust and use, Qing dynasty, 18th C. DIMENSIONS: 3 3/4” Long (9.5 cm).
