DESCRIPTION: Lovely carved gilt wood figure of a seated female in traditional robes with arm bands and elaborate headdress and collar. The figure is lacquered in black with traces of red and gilt, and is mounted on a custom stand. A very decorative piece originating from Thailand; early 20th C. Slight wear but generally in very good condition. DIMENSIONS: 25” high with stand x 13” wide.

DESCRIPTION: From an old Florida collection comes this exceptionally nice bronze Buddha sculpture, mounted on a wood block, with a green jade bead in center of his forehead. Here we see the Buddha’s peaceful expression, long pendulous ears and tightly coiled hair topped with a flame. A fragment from a larger sculpture, this piece has a beautiful dark patina which shows the age of a 19th C. piece. DIMENSIONS: With stand, 14 ¼” high; actual head, 10 ½” x 5 ¼”.
