DESCRIPTION: An attractive rice (or dry goods) storage barrel with a lacquered red ground containing four black cartouches hand painted with gold flowers and precious objects. This lidded pine barrel, c. 1900 Qing Dynasty, originated from Anhui Province and is in very good condition. Such barrels make quite attractive accessories for the home or office. DIMENSIONS: 16” high (40.5 cm) x 12” diameter (30.5 cm).
