DESCRIPTION: An antique Chinese birdcage, c. 1920, crafted of bent bamboo with a curved metal dragon finial for hanging. Inside the cage is a small porcelain feeding cup, and the lacquered base is etched in scenic landscapes. DESCRIPTION: An ornate Chinese rosewood plant stand with an elaborately carved and pierced skirt, rose colored marble inlay top and four legs supporting two shelves. Dating from the late 19th to early 20th C., this stand is sturdy and in good condition. DIMENSIONS: 16 ½” wide (42 cm) x 12 ¼” deep (31 cm) x 31 ¾” high (78 cm).

DESCRIPTION: A handsome pair of Chinese chairs crafted in the classic Ming style of Tie-li-mu wood (Ironwood). The term “official’s hat” chair comes from the shape of the curved top rail, which resembled hats worn by officials of the period. This classic style includes a curved back rail, woven cane seat, and apron-head spandrels under the seat and footrest stretchers. Crafted in the classic Ming style, this narrow table has everted flanges, shaped legs and a pierced apron in cloud motifs with continuous beading that extends down the length of the legs. DESCRIPTION: A double stacking wood box, probably a hat box, with gilt surface and hand painted designs, the lid painted with a scholar and boy in a garden setting. Interiors are lacquered in red. DESCRIPTION: An antique hand-painted ceremonial drum with vivid motifs of large flowers with curling green tendrils against a red ground. Both ends of the drum are covered in animal hide and secured with round-headed metal studs. This highly decorative drum makes a perfect little end table, or adds a touch of exotic to any décor. Very good condition with minor rubbing in spots. DIMENSIONS: 16 5/8” high (42.2 cm) x 15 5/8” diameter (39.6 cm).
