Small Chinese Porcelain Vase with Appliqués LVCP2DESCRIPTION: A small Chinese porcelain vase with bulbous body, long neck and flared rim, finished in a white glaze with raised appliqués of a leafy branch with flowers. From a Florida estate, it was purchased by the owner in Hong Kong in the mid 1970’s. Water drippers were one of the vital calligraphy tools used by the Chinese scholar to hold water and drip it onto the ink stone for the purpose of mixing the ground ink.
